In many ways, you do not get to choose how long this anon journey goes.
While we take action in our own respective God-given roles, much of this process is out of our hands.
We plant seeds, we protect our circle of influence, we get involved, yes.
But what is often overlooked is our attitude along the way.
We do get to choose how we handle this adverse period in history.
We get to protect our minds, elevate our level of faith, and choose to have a optimistic mindset despite it all.
Because what will worrying even do?
What will complaining in bitterness accomplish for us?
Will it save the world?
No.
It will only tarnish your day when you could lift yourself up off the mat and decide you will trust God and be a champion, a rock of hope in one of the most important transition periods in human history.
Think about what an honor it is to do so.
So, before you decide to feel weary and bring yourself down lower than need be:
Simply choose not to.
Simply choose to be a calm when everyone else around you is either ignorant or in despair.
Choose peace despite it all.
Because there's only one way out of this:
It's straight through and there is absolutely no way we can go back now.

In the morning I put on the armor of God and the piece of armor I pray the hardest on, is the helmet of salvation. Asking to capture all thoughts that are not of God and would hurt me or others. I turned 80 this year and my husband will be 84. We have most of our life behind us and we have decided that we are going to have a good attitude and not let the state of this world dictate our peace. We are going to Pray more and worry less.
As Duane Cates says - "Shepherd your interests with a fierce resolve".
When I pray, I ask for peace of mind, calmness of heart, and serenity of spirit.
