What it reminded me of was in that scene in The Chosen (final episode of season 3) when Peter was walking on the water toward Jesus. Jesus kept warning Peter to keep his eyes on HIM and not the threats and calamity all around.
There was a lady at a nursing home I was at recently who seemed to be passing along a message. At first glance one would discount it, but I just got goosebumps reading your msg and realize that was her msg too. Wow.

When Pastor Chuck Smith's first baby was dying, his wife Kay took her to the local pastor who gave her a strict admonition, "Take your eyes off the problem and put them directly on to Jesus." His baby, Jan, was healed and is around today to testify of His faithfulness. The message to us all... "Take your eyes off the calamity around you, and keep them directly on Jesus."
And as I just shared God's Word really spoke to me in this verse, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind" II Timothy 1:7!

I don't know how many times I've said to my wife when I see the most disturbing elements of those trying to destroy us seeming to succeed, "I'm so tired of feeling like a sheep being led to slaughter". And yet, I seem to be reminded more and more about how faith in God involves remembering that our salvation came by way of "Good Friday" which was not really "good" at the moment, and it was followed by "What the heck just happened Saturday" before "Easter Sunday" happened.
We are not immune from the frustration and I think your statement resonated with me: "Perhaps God wants us to feel that deep down in our bones so that we may stand in awe when He accomplishes a purpose only He can do through His power." We only really appreciate the grace of God when we see what it saves us from.
When diagnosed with cancer in 2002, a man I consider a mentor said, "There is purpose in our suffering. We wouldn't have Easter without Good Friday." That made so much sense to me and I learned so much through the experience. When I had recurrence 2 years later, I decided I hadn't learned everything I needed to know, yet. I'm still learning but this was all part of my awakening into what was really important. Some said you won't be bothered by things, kind of like a "Life is good." Not! Yes, life is good but sometimes wish I could put my head back in the sand--probably over-corrected during my thirst for knowledge was being quenched. Cancer free but still learning...

I realized this is an opportune time to resume redpilling!! I had grown weary of getting beaten down by normies who refused to see, but they are scared now, and we can hit them with facts and insights that don’t directly threaten their political viewpoints. We couldn’t awaken the masses two years ago, but maybe now we can! That gives me hope!

As WARRIORS in this War, we must not forget to look to OUR HIGH COMMANDER, Our Lord Jesus! ONLY HE KNOWS THE WHOLE BATTLEFIELD & HAS ALREADY CLAIMED VICTORY! When I am attacked with such thoughts, I remember the lyrics of Asaph in Psalm 73 (edited)...
