Your faith is an act of defiance when the world tells you to doubt. “

I have been at my lowest point in the last 10 years, but I so appreciate Pepe giving me hope, if not for true deliverance, at least that we believers win in the end, just my patience is so thin at this particular time.

When Pastor Chuck Smith's first baby was dying, his wife Kay took her to the local pastor who gave her a strict admonition, "Take your eyes off the problem and put them directly on to Jesus." His baby, Jan, was healed and is around today to testify of His faithfulness. The message to us all... "Take your eyes off the calamity around you, and keep them directly on Jesus."

And as I just shared God's Word really spoke to me in this verse, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind" II Timothy 1:7!

This part stood out to me... "Because we see this potential, we've believed for it to come to pass and that has given us both hope and heartache. It hurts the heart to watch such evil prosper and perhaps it can cause bitterness witnessing the ignorance of man to this truth. Sheep led to the slaughter. How can such a thing be happening? How can we find our way out? Perhaps God wants us to feel that deep down in our bones so that we may stand in awe when He accomplishes a purpose only He can do through His power. "

I don't know how many times I've said to my wife when I see the most disturbing elements of those trying to destroy us seeming to succeed, "I'm so tired of feeling like a sheep being led to slaughter". And yet, I seem to be reminded more and more about how faith in God involves remembering that our salvation came by way of "Good Friday" which was not really "good" at the moment, and it was followed by "What the heck just happened Saturday" before "Easter Sunday" happened.

We are not immune from the frustration and I think your statement resonated with me: "Perhaps God wants us to feel that deep down in our bones so that we may stand in awe when He accomplishes a purpose only He can do through His power." We only really appreciate the grace of God when we see what it saves us from.

When I am attacked with such thoughts, I remember the lyrics of Asaph in Psalm 73 (edited)...

But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled;

My steps had nearly slipped.

For I was envious of the boastful,

When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Violence covers them like a garment.

Their eyes bulge with abundance;

They have more than heart could wish.

They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression;

They speak loftily.

They set their mouth against the heavens,

And their tongue walks through the earth.

Behold, these are the ungodly,

Who are always at ease;

They increase in riches.

If I had said, “I will speak thus,”

Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children.

When I thought how to understand this,

It was too painful for me—

Until I went into the sanctuary of God;

Then I understood their end.

When diagnosed with cancer in 2002, a man I consider a mentor said, "There is purpose in our suffering. We wouldn't have Easter without Good Friday." That made so much sense to me and I learned so much through the experience. When I had recurrence 2 years later, I decided I hadn't learned everything I needed to know, yet. I'm still learning but this was all part of my awakening into what was really important. Some said you won't be bothered by things, kind of like a "Life is good." Not! Yes, life is good but sometimes wish I could put my head back in the sand--probably over-corrected during my thirst for knowledge was being quenched. Cancer free but still learning...

Well said and Beautiful Fren! I love reading your words of TRUTH! I think many, like me, have grown tired of fighting what "appears" to be an uphill battle with few too many victories. Yet WE ALL must remember we are Warriors in this WAR! WAR IS NOT PRETTY OR MEANT TO BE! War is uncomfortable and ugly! As WARRIORS in this War, we must not forget to look to OUR HIGH COMMANDER, Our Lord Jesus! ONLY HE KNOWS THE WHOLE BATTLEFIELD & HAS ALREADY CLAIMED VICTORY! When we lose sight of this, it's easy to get lost in the noise! And it's only getting louder, as you said, in the near future!

WARRIORS HAVE EACH OTHER's BACKS, as we do here, and your words always bring TRUTH AND BLESSINGS to us all fighting this battle day in n day out! I appreciate and look forward to your words! They give us clarity and comfort! BE BLESSED FREN 🐸💞 KNOW we are with YOU as well n keep you in Prayer 🙏

Don't lose sight of WWG1WGA! 🐸😎🙏

This was so touching and well written. It really hit me. I feel the exact same way and it just felt so nice to know that there are so many others, even you, who feel all of those things. I actually cried reading it. I am tired. I am all of the things you said. I feel it every day. I want to share this on Truth.

So, thank you. I just wanted you to know. Im sure this touched so many more of us than you can even imagine. God Bless you. 🙏🏼♥️🇺🇸🐸
