Years ago I realized, after hearing wise words, and God in my heart, that I needed to forgive many people, I've had a rough life, been through a lot, and had many to forgive. I sat, prayed, and in my mind pictured everyone I could who had done me harm in some way, large and not so large. In my mind and heart I forgave each one. Some I didn't remember names. It was a beautiful experience and changed me a lot. I also did the same meditation with asking people to forgive me for my wrongs, I was no angel myself in earlier years, and had many to ask, some in person, email, and some through prayer. I share your articles. Thank you!

Pepe, I am near speechless. That was not only flawless writing, but the Holy Spirit was SO in that writing. Now I can't stop crying. I'm at my office and people might think there's something wrong because of the endless tears lol, but the tears are due to everything about that word being right. Thank you!

Very good my fren!!! I will share a bit of my story. About 15 years ago God dealt with my heart to forgive. I argued with him, hid from him, distracted myself. This went on every morning on my way to work for a month or so. So On my way to work I started praying and daily forgiving people that had hurt me or wronged me. The one person I held back was my mother. When I was in grade school she had an affair and this guy molested me and my sisters. God has shown me that this act of unforgiveness was destroying me as a person, my heart, mind, relationships etc. Forgiveness does not mean we think the sin was ok. It is releasing that and giving it over to God. Its been a long and deep process letting go of all of it, but the pain and anguish is totally out of my life. If Jesus could ask God to forgive them while he was on the cross. Then I can totally forgive another for making mistakes. We are all human. I hope this helps someone. Remember God loves everyone and wants all to come to him. Be blessed today my friends! God loves you!!

My Awakening was the realization that Satan's been in control and all the ugly wasn't from God. I was relieved to know that and it was easy for me to not be bitter because strong faith prevents bitterness.

It's in The Lord's Prayer.

"Forgive us OUR trespasses, as WE forgive those who trespass against US."

Some of the hardest words to reconcile when you see people knowingly causing pain to others, to one's self, to children, to animals, to friends, to family.

Tis a HARD thing to do when face to face with evil, in whatever form that comes in.

UNTIL one remembers that they, like we, have all been manipulated by the greatest deceiver, the biggest con artist, the father of ALL lies, the absolute hater of People, (as we are ALL God's children) of all time.

And he is a professional at it, make no mistake about that!

Even he was created by God, but his pride, arrogance and self-adulation won.

Some succumbed and were happy to do so.

Some had no clue until it was too late.

Some are still clueless and just go along to get along.

Some just don't want to face it.

Whatever the reason, it is wise for us to remember that they, like us, CANNOT and DO NOT have the fortitude, strength or wherewithal to fight against it, without GOD.

And then, that becomes their choice.

As we continually try to remember this in our quest to forgive human beings "for they know not what they do," picture them as the children they once were, before they were faltered. It helps puts things into perspective.

It helps to realize that they too were once innocent babes.

After having said that, righteous anger also has a place. Even Jesus went 'thug' when He crashed the carts of the money changers in the Temple.

Hmmm, the one and only time, so that should have told us all something about "money."

But He, unlike us, did not allow it to consume Him.

If we don't forgive, as in give forward to God, it will consume us.

Don't let that happen.

Your precious soul, your presence here, and the unforeseen good that comes from you isn't worth that weight.

GREAT article my Fren, SO much wisdom.

Much Love

nice article. Good timing as most of us have unhealed wounds, many from childhood days.

The last couple of years likely touched on them and could have unleashed. up a whirlwind or rollercoaster of emotions. We al need to heal from this experience and find the peace and self love within. YOU HAVE PROVIDED SOME WISE WORDS FOR US ALL. LOVE AND GOOD FEELING CAN ALSO BE CONTAGIOUS A GIFT TO SHARE. THAT WE CAN CONTROL OVER TIME & REALLY LIVE DESPITE THE CRAZYINESS OUTSIDE.

GOD BLESS & THANKS

As someone who has lived through some mighty big traumas, learning to face it all, forgiving the abusers and learning to love myself is the most freeing thing I have ever done. Holding onto anger, shame and guilt is like being chained in a prison you never belonged in... Great job! God Bless!

God tells us in His word that Satan is the ruler of this world (not for much longer though). Which means that he causes pain, chaos, wars, divorces, abortions, family upset, financial woes, and many other negative things. We as a human race are over 6000 years into imperfection and chaos. Humans will hurt you, disappoint you, be disloyal to you, stop loving you, and so on. We should forgive them for ourselves and our peace, not for them. Looking to God for healing of trauma, anger, and pain will help us forgive those that hurt us, or hurt someone we love. I for one do not forgive easily. It is in my nature to hold onto anger longer than I should; albeit righteous anger. My main triggers are those that hurt the weakest in our society, i.e. children, the elderly and the disabled. I'm an Empath, so that makes it even more difficult to shake off the righteous anger I feel most of the time. But I also know that justice will take place, either on earth while perpetrators of evil are alive, or at their death. God is the ultimate judge and jury.

Righteous anger and a longing for justice are very good things but what can happen is that they can become tainted with bitterness and unforgiveness. It's a balance to be had but at the end of the day, laying down our emotions and thoughts to God to allow transformation is critical.

I don't disagree with you Pepe. It is definitely something I have to work at, as well as patience waiting for justice to take place.

Thank you, Pepe. You consistently speak words of truth that instruct and comfort our hearts.

I think that the Apostle Paul is such a remarkable example of a converted terrorist. There is no lack of terrorists to pray for in our times. Such prayer takes a readiness to forgive. I discovered God’s heart on this many years ago when I read, in Ezekiel 33:11, that God does not delight in the death of the wicked but wants them to turn from their wicked ways and live. May we all forgive, as we have been forgiven.

Incredible to think that Paul was a murderer yet became one of the most consequential men to ever live through God's sheer grace.

Thank you so much for this reminder of our Christian duty, our reality we strive for each day, amid so many self failings.

Words are powerful, but they are just words. Never ever push someone away because they hurt you with words. If someone has insulted you or accused you of things that you know are false, remember, everyone is carrying a burden.

We get one life here on God's beautiful Earth. It is a gift.

Every one of us can answer "yes, I have done stupid things" "yes, I said hurtful words"

Pride is wicked. We need to remember that each and every relation that we have with good people and even some evil people, we should always be intent on seeking love and understanding. .

It’s easier to support people to build them up than it is to tear them down and trample them underfoot. At least that’s what I have come to realize through Christs teachings. In my own life

I now try to end an argument with a handshake or a hug rather than a Jab and a right hook.

Love changes people. Politics is useful in many ways but it still has it's limits. It's not as powerful of a weapon as forgiveness and love. Not even close.

Such a blessed article, thank you! As humans we have a problem with pride. To humble oneself and ask for forgiveness is the most freeing thing. The weight of guilt is so burdensome and hard to carry. Asking for forgiveness is a very light weight.

To forgive is often hard for some of us but to think about Christ and His suffering for us can give tremendous insight into helping us overcome hard feelings. Remember every lash, fist and sorrow Christ received came to him because we are sinners. We are unworthy but Christ loved us before we were ever born. Imagine holding this much love and always remember you are an unworthy sinner.

This is the best article I’ve read of from you!
